Excursions

The CVŘ offers the possibility of excursions to the workplaces of the nuclear reactors LVR-15, LR-0, and hot chambers, and by agreement also to the workplaces of other organizations in the Řež area. Typically, these are groups of Czech and foreign high school and university students.

Introduction About us Excursions

We would like to inform those interested in tours:

  • All excursions are centrally planned to avoid time and capacity conflicts or endangerment of visitors or operation staff and the technology itself
  •  each excursion must be planned and approved by a responsible person. The possibility of visiting our workplaces always depends on current operational conditions and ongoing contracts, the number of excursions is limited.
  • Group tours are primarily intended for students of technical universities and representatives of technology companies.
  • Tours for individuals or smaller groups from the general public are typically possible as part of registration for the Open Day in Řež. This event is part of the November Week of Science and Technology, and registration for individual visitors starts approximately one month before the event on the website of ÚJV Řež, a. s.
  • The minimum age of a tour participant must be 15 years.
  • When entering our premises, it is always necessary to present a valid ID – an identity card or a passport.
  • Entry into the controlled area is only allowed in long trousers (shorts, dresses, skirts, bare legs are not allowed) and closed shoes (long sleeves are not necessary, participants will receive coats).
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not allowed to enter the controlled area (workplaces with sources of ionizing radiation).
  • In case of scheduling conflicts, excursions for technical university students have priority.
  • For high school student excursions, at least one person of pedagogical supervision is required for a group of 15 students.
  • Persons who have consumed alcoholic beverages or toxic and narcotic substances before entering are not allowed to enter the premises (a participant from each group may be selected for an orientation test).
  • It is not allowed to take photographs or video recordings arbitrarily during the excursion in the premises or workplaces.
  • It is not allowed to bring weapons, explosives, including knives and prohibited substances (alcohol, drugs, and other narcotics) into the premises.
  • When entering nuclear facilities, it is necessary to leave mobile phones in a designated place unless the guide grants an exception to an individual.
  • Failure to comply with the rules of conduct in the premises (not following security instructions, not presenting valid documents, attempting to bring in prohibited items, etc.) will result in a ban on entry or immediate expulsion of the person/group from the premises

Request for Excursion

If you are interested in a tour of our company's workplaces, please contact us at exkurzeCICRR@cvrez.cz

In the request, it is necessary to include:

  • Required excursion date – date, start time, and reserved time slot for the excursion (the duration of the excursion is a maximum of 3 hours).
  • Number of excursion participants (maximum number of 16 people, if the number is higher, approval from competent senior employees is required).
  • Character of participants (type of school – secondary, university, field of study – in the case of secondary school students, at least one person of pedagogical supervision is required for a group of 15 students).
  • Name of the organization.
  • Specific interest within the excursion.
  • Language for communication during the excursion.
  • Form and contact for excursion confirmation (address, email, phone number)
