At the HELCZA facility in Pilsen, we are testing whether components for fusion reactors can withstand extreme thermal loads, thereby bringing the practical application of nuclear fusion one step closer.

Research Center Řež contributed to the development of a new version of one of the world’s most important nuclear data libraries. In May 2026, the ENDF/B-VIII.1 update was published; it has long been regarded as the “golden standard” for computational simulations in nuclear engineering and physics.
