CVŘ experts have taken part in creation of the new library of nuclear data

During the last week of January 2020 the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna has issued a new IRDFF-II library (International Reactor Dosimetry and Fusion File). The new library will serve for evaluation of fluencies on the reactor vessel and thanks to that it will be possible to estimate the dosages even more precisely than before. Our experts from the department of Neutronics  have contributed to the creation of the library with their measurement and validation of integral valid cross-sections. It is worth mentioning that one of the reference fields was defined in our experimental reactor LR-0.
More details can be found in accompanying paper IRDFF-II: A New Neutron Metrology Library, which is being published in January issue of Nuclear Data Sheets (Volume 163, January 2020, Pages 1-108).
