The cooling water for reactors is produced by using the reverse osmosis

The production of the cooling water for both our reactors, LVR-15 and LR-0, has been being provided by the demineralization station for 6 years already. The inlet water with the conductivity of approx. 600 μS/cm is filtered on several stages (mechanical filters, active charcoal) and then it is cleaned with the help of a module using the principle of reverse osmosis with an output mixed bed system. During the previous 5 years this station has produced 800,000 litres of ultrapure water the conductivity of which is lower than 0.1 μS/cm.
