The conference in brewery

In Pilsen Brewery Courtyard on August 27, 2014 a conference of Non-Destructive Testing of Included Energy Facilities using Robotics took place. This conference was organized by the Research Centre Rez Ltd. in the framework of the project CZ.1.07 / 2.3.00 / 30.0051 Facilitation of Knowledge Development for SUSEN R&D Programme Implementation. Representatives of CEZ, SUJB, Skoda-JS, UJV and others were present to the conference.
13 participants performed their contributions. Part of CVR, NDT laboratory of Pilsen and its subsections: robotics, electro-mechanical support and development of cracks were introduced in the first section of lectures. The second block was opened by Michal Ries from UK Bratislava with his contribution User’s Satisfaction in Numbers: Understanding Mobile Video Quality Expectations. He was followed by Petr Palatka from Neovision company. Both presentations dealt with the audio/video signal and were related to robot guidance.
Pavel Mares introduced the issue of Simulation for Support for Ultrasonic Testing. Next part of the program was lunch at restaurant Purkmistr.
Gentlemen Jan Vit and Jan Patera were speaking during the third block of lectures, firstly about examinations of the reactor pressure vessel and secondly about methods of nonlinear examinations of concrete in RPV cavity. Contribution of Jakub Rehorek on non-destructive sampling of small specimens and their analysis by Small Punch Test Method followed afterwards. The third block concluded Martin Jezek with his presentation Inspection of Irradiated Nuclear Fuel.
The fourth block was opened by Ondrej Sykora with his contribution Ultrasonic measurement of exfoliating layers and closed by the organizer, Zbynek Hlavac from CVR.
The event included a visit to the brewery, in which conference participants acquainted with the secrets of cooking and storage of beer Purkmistr.
