The manipulator Valentin will be checking the turbine blades

At Pilsen Nondestructive Testing Laboratories, manipulator Valentin development has been completed to look for cracks on the blades of low-pressure parts of steam turbines. The manipulator uses a flexible eddy current probe to measure a stable probe pressure on the surface of the blade, even when the blade geometry changes. It also sends the position of the probe during testing.
The manipulator was developed in the framework of the internal project “Manipulator for NDT of turbine blades using the ET flexible probe with positioning” will be introduced into the measurement process in the near future.
