CVŘ hosted Japan companies in Tokyo

On the 1st of November 2018, Research Centre Řež (CVŘ) organized a seminar “Role of the Czech CVŘ Nuclear Research Centre in Nuclear Power Plant Operation and Safety”. Seminar was held in the premises of Czech embassy in Tokyo on behalf of Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their big project “2018, the Year of Czech Business in Japan”. The main purpose of this seminar was to present CVŘ technical capabilities, discuss their applications on nuclear issues and promote collaborative work with Japanese companies – based on such capabilities and applications.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Tomáš Dub, the Ambassador of Czech Republic in Japan and Mr. Ján Milčák, managing director of CVŘ. 28 participants from 18 important Japan companies and institutions like Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Nuclear Regulation Authority, Japan Atomic Energy Agency, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, TEPCO, Hitachi GE, Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions, etc., met with the most important people from CVŘ, Daneš Burket, Marek Ruščák, Jan Prehradný and Marek Mikloš and had a fruitful discussion on current and future possible research collaborations. One of the most important speech was performed by Mr. Masaki Kurata (JAEA), who presented excellent collaboration between JAEA and CVŘ on phase/element distribution during fuel debris solidification.
